Are the age restrictions?

Yes, but for 2026, we are opened up to youth ages 12 and up. Ages 12 and 13 as of race day must participate as a tandem team with a partner age 18 or older. Ages 14 and up can compete in any category.

What kind of boat can be used?

You may use any type of arm-paddle propelled boat, including canoe, kayak or paddle board. Pedal-style kayaks are not permitted due to frequent weeds and rare sandbars.

Are there gender classes for awards?

For solo racers, yes. For tandem and relay racers, there is one category, they can be same or mixed gender.

Are there aid stations?

No. This is a self-supported race. Set up for your transitions with a dry bag in your boat, and at your bike transition area.
