Volunteer
We need a handful of volunteers to help make this a great event! Volunteers will of course receive a Tricky Trout Bucket Hat, as well as a volunteer shirt, and get fed lunch as well!
Start/finish monitor. 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. 2 people needed.
Assist with set up, finish area, watch over bike transition area.
Paddle guide and sweep. 9:00-10:30 am. 1 person needed.
Wait at the intersection of the Phipps Springs and the Namekkagon River, guide participants onto the flowage. Follow the last paddler. Report to race director the conclusion of the paddle. Assist with any incidents. Single kayak can be provided.
Participant transportation. 8:00-9:30 am. 2 people needed.
Use your vehicle/UTV to transport participants from Mosquito Brook Trailhead to the paddle start area 1 mile north on Mosquito Brook road.
Paddle start unloader. 8:00-9:30 am. 1 person needed.
Help participants get into the water. Will get wet!
Paddle start gate monitor. 8:45-9:30 am. 1 person needed.
Stand at the start tunnel and release next participant through the tunnel, every 30 seconds. Track Participant number.
Boat landing. 9:30-11:00 am. 4 people needed.
Assist paddlers at Phipps Landing get out of the water and watch the boats until they are shuttled back to the Hayward Curling Club. Will get wet! Help load boats onto shuttle.
Paddle boat shuttle driver. 10-11:30 am. 1 person needed.
Use your vehicle with 2 inch hitch and provided canoe/kayak trailer to shuttle boats from the boat landing at Phipps Landing to Hayward Curling Club north on Highway 63.
Bike sweep. 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. 1 person needed.
Wait for the last of the runners to arrive and sweep the single track and gravel route.
After race celebration. 11:00 am to 1 pm. 4 people needed.
Help hydrate, feed and celebrate participants. Awards ceremony.
